Have the Right Mindset
Welcome to Wear Your Crown Now. I want to talk about what it means to have the right mindset. Have you seen Disney's The Santa Clause movies? In the third movie, Tim Allen, who plays Santa Claus, goes to pick up his in laws. Because they could not find out he was Santa, he had the Sandman sprinkle them with magic so they would go to sleep.
The amazing thing is when they arrived in the North Pole and were asked, "How was the trip?", their answers were quite different. The father talked about how rough the ride was, how he was in the back of the plane and did not get served. The wife, on the other hand, said she was in first class and it was wonderful and had a great meal. He was astounded and mentioned he had only had nuts to eat.
While it is very amusing, the conversation is a great example on how your mindset can create your reality. Neither of them were on a plane and yet, their subconscious mind filled in the blanks for them. If you tend to have a negative mindset, I imagine that your trip would focus on the things that went wrong, your discontent. If you have a positive mindset, you tent to focus more on what went right.
We can have the exact same life experience and yet walk away with completely different experiences. Too often, we can fall into negativity and get stuck there. The thing is, God never said it would all be mountains and hills, we all have to walk through some valleys. It's how we fix our mind on those journeys that determines how quickly we will climb up the next mountain.
Listen below to the Wear Your Crown Now where I share some examples of how I changed my mindset.
